Brunei Emphasises High Priority On Food Industry Safety

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Jul 3 (NNN-PELITA) – Brunei’s food industry players were urged to work together, to turn scientific knowledge into practical applications, a senior government officer, said, yesterday.

Food importers, manufacturers, regulators, and farmers, need to support research, build strong food systems, adopt cutting-edge technologies, for detecting early risks, and train workers with the latest food safety knowledge, said Hajah Tutiaty Wahab, permanent secretary, at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, at a workshop, conducted by the Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA), near the capital, yesterday.

The BDFA stated that, it remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing and safeguarding food safety, for the benefit of the public.– NNN-PELITA
