KABUL, Jun 29 (NNN-BNA) – A new water supply project has been completed and put into operation, in northern Afghanistan’s Sari Pul province, it was reported yesterday.
According to the report, the network, which cost eight million afghani (about 113,526 U.S. dollars), can provide clean water to nearly 463 families in the province.
Meanwhile, it will assist farmers in irrigating hundreds of acres of land in the area, the report added.
Afghanistan has been suffering from droughts for years, and residents of big cities, including the capital city of Kabul, have been facing extreme shortages of drinking water.– NNN-BNA
