ADEN, Jun 28 (NNN-SABA) – Thousands of Yemenis, yesterday, gathered in public squares across Houthi-controlled provinces, to show their support for Gaza and Iran, according to the Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV.
The rallies were organised under the banner “praising Iran’s victory … and expressing steadfastness with Gaza until victory,” following a previous call by the Houthis for its supporters to participate in the demonstrations.
In Al-Sabeen Square in central Sanaa, pro-Houthi demonstrators displayed Yemeni and Palestinian flags, alongside banners expressing solidarity with Gaza, while chanting anti-Israel and anti-America slogans.
They congratulated Iran on what they described as “the great victory” in its recent conflict with Israel and the United States, and voiced support for “Palestinian resistance operations in Gaza.”
The Houthis initiated their campaign against Israel in Nov, 2023, weeks after the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas conflict, in a bid to express solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.– NNN-SABA
