Two Hospitalised With Stab Wounds Following Western Sydney Brawl

SYDNEY, Jun 25 (NNN-AAP) – Two men have been hospitalised with stab wounds, following a brawl at a shopping centre in western Sydney.

Emergency services were called to reports of the brawl, between two groups of teenagers and young adults, at a shopping centre in Mount Druitt, 38 km west of central Sydney, at around 5.00 p.m. local time yesterday, Australia’s 9News network reported, today.

The brawl spilled outside where two people were stabbed, according to police.

One stab victim, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with critical injuries to his upper body.

The second, a male believed to be aged in his early teens, was treated for slash wounds to his hand and face, and was taken to hospital in stable condition.

A 20-year-old man was also treated for minor injuries that did not require hospitalisation.

Police said that, the groups involved in the brawl are believed to be known to each other.

Crime scenes were established inside the shopping centre and on an external footpath, and police have commenced an investigation into the incident.– NNN-AAP
