NEW DELHI, Jun 19 (NNN-PTI) – At least nine people, including a child and a woman, died in a road accident, in India’s south-western state of Maharashtra, confirmed a local police today.
Three others, including a child, were injured and were admitted to a nearby government hospital.
The road accident occurred on the Jejuri-Morgaon Road, in the state’s Pune district, when a private car driven at a very high speed rammed into a stationary vehicle.
The car’s front was badly mangled, and gas-cutters had to be used to extricate those trapped inside.– NNN-PTI
