Croatia, India Signed Agreements To Enhance Cooperation

ZAGREB, Jun 19 (NNN-CNA) – Four agreements were signed, to enhance cooperation between Croatia and India, Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovic, said yesterday.

The agreements covered the fields of agriculture, culture, science and a cooperation agreement between the University of Zagreb and partners in India, especially, regarding the study of Indology, Plenkovic told a press conference, after he met with his visiting Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi.

Plenkovic said that, the current trade between the two countries stood at around 250 million U.S. dollars last year, and “it is the basis” for even greater bilateral trade volume.

Modi voiced his desire to boost bilateral ties between India and Croatia.

“We will establish a plan that will focus not only on training and exchange, but also on the entire defence industry,” Modi said, adding that, the two sides also agreed to enhance cooperation in the sectors of pharmaceutical, agriculture, information technology, renewable energy and semiconductors.– NNN-CNA
