Six Australian Teenagers Seriously Injured In Stolen Vehicle Crash

SYDNEY, Jun 18 (NNN-AAP) – Six teenagers have been hospitalised with serious injuries, after an allegedly stolen vehicle crashed at high speed, in northern Melbourne, in the state of Victoria.

A police statement said today that, officers spotted the vehicle, which was reported stolen yesterday, driving at high speed, in the early hours of this morning.

Officers lost sight of the vehicle but it was spotted again by the aerial unit and monitored until it rolled near the entrance of a freeway in Epping, 20 kilometres north of central Melbourne, after 1:20 a.m. local time.

Emergency services attended the scene and all six occupants of the vehicle, including three 17-year-old males, two 16-year-old males and a 19-year-old female, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, under police guard.

It will be alleged by police that the vehicle was stolen, during an aggravated burglary at a home, in north-east Melbourne in the early hours of Tuesday.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, said the police.– NNN-AAP
