BANGKOK, Thailand, June 12 (Bernama) — Informa Markets, in collaboration with government bodies and international organizations, officially opens ProPak Asia 2025, the region’s most influential exhibition for processing and packaging technology. The event is poised to generate over THB 5.5 billion in trade value and business deals, solidifying its role as a critical platform for industrial development and regional cooperation.
Mr. Fukuyai Iino (Ph.D., MBA), UNIDO Representative United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Subregional Office for Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar, emphasized the organization’s role in promoting and accelerating sustainable industrial development across developing countries and economies in transition. UNIDO, as a specialized agency of the United Nations, works with governments, the private sector, and other organizations to provide technical assistance, capacity building, technology transfer, and the development of infrastructure essential to industrial growth. The collaboration with ProPak Asia over the years has played a key role in driving innovation and sustainable development across processing, packaging, and the food value chain in tangible ways.
