ASTANA, Jun 10 (NNN-KTA) – Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, appointed Dauren Kosanov, as the new minister of defence, following the dismissal of his predecessor, Ruslan Zhaksylykov, the country’s Kazinform news agency reported.
Kosanov previously served as deputy minister of defence and commander-in-chief of the Air Defence Forces of the Kazakh Armed Forces.
The president also dismissed Marat Karabayev, from his position as transport minister.
No official announcement has been made on who will replace Karabayev, so far.– NNN-KTA
