KUALA LUMPUR, Jun 9 (NNN-BERNAMA) – At least 15 people were killed, when a bus transporting students, was struck by a multipurpose vehicle along the East-West Highway in Perak state, early today, authorities said.
The collision, which was reported at 1:10 a.m. local time, involved 48 individuals, with 13 of them being found dead at the scene, the Civil Defence Force said in a statement.
Two more victims were reported to have died in hospital.
Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, has expressed his condolences to the families of all the victims in the crash, and instructed the Higher Education Ministry to coordinate appropriate assistance for the families of the victims.– NNN-BERNAMA
