ULAN BATOR, Jun 7 (NNN-APA) – Mongolia’s foreign trade dipped 7.3 percent year-on-year, to 9.9 billion U.S. dollars in the first five months of this year, local media reported today, citing data from the Mongolian Customs General Administration.
The landlocked Asian country registered a surplus in its foreign trade balance, as exports exceeded imports by over 880 million dollars, the data showed.
Mining commodities, such as copper, iron ore and unprocessed or semi-processed gold, constituted 96.5 percent of Mongolia’s total exports during this period, the administration reported.
Mongolia traded with 66 economies worldwide in the cited period.– NNN-APA
