JAKARTA, Jun 1 (NNN-ANTARA) – The death toll of landslides at a quarry in Indonesia’s West Java province on Friday, increased to 17, with eight others missing, an official said, yesterday.
“Three bodies were found by rescuers today, so we will search for the eight others,” said Mamang Fatmono, acting head of the operational unit of the provincial search and rescue office.
The number of rescuers from the local search and rescue office was increased to 27 yesterday, from 10 on Friday, the official said.
Further landslides were threatening rescue efforts at the Gunung Kuda mine, located in Bobos village of Cirebon Regency, said Fatmono.– NNN-ANTARA
