HAVANA, May 16 (NNN-ACN) — Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba’s Foreign Minister, denounced US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s decision to reinstate Cuba on the list of countries “not cooperating fully with US counterterrorism efforts.”
On X, Rodríguez Parrilla noted that in 2024, US agencies had presented evidence to the contrary and accused Rubio of lying to justify anti-Cuban measures.
“The US Secretary of State, known for lying to justify his measures against the Cuban people, reinstates #Cuba on the list of countries not cooperating with US counterterrorism efforts. Perhaps he should recall that in 2024, US agencies presented evidence proving otherwise.”
He also questioned the US government’s double standard, asking whether it had taken action against those organizing, financing, and carrying out terrorist acts against Cuba from US territory.
“The country of unilateral, arbitrary, and fraudulent lists should create a list of US politicians who are liars and corrupt, paid by special interests,” he concluded. — NNN-ACN
