BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, May 14 (NNN-ANN) – The Royal Brunei Customs and Excise department, has confiscated 1,050 cartons of cigarettes, 10 cans of alcohol and found 1,752 Brunei dollars (1,343.46 U.S. dollars) in cash, during an operation at a national housing scheme area, in Lambak Kanan, near the capital.
Three people aged between 21and 42 years old were arrested, and two vehicles, believed to be involved in suspicious activities were also seized, the Customs said in a statement, yesterday.
The operation was conducted jointly with the Royal Brunei Police Force and Royal Brunei Armed Forces.– NNN-ANN
