HANOI, May 6 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam saw a trade surplus of 3.79 billion U.S. dollars in the first four months of this year, the National Statistics Office said, today.
The office reported that, during the cited period, the total import-export turnover of goods hit 276.89 billion dollars, up 15.7 percent year on year, with exports expanding by 13 percent and imports surging by 18.6 percent, compared to the same period last year.
From Jan to Apr, a total of seven exporting items, including electronics, computers, components, phones, garment and textile, footwear and timber, reported revenues of over five billion dollars, accounting for 67.1 percent of the total export value.– NNN-VNA
