Traffic Accident Killed Five, Injured Seven In Afghanistan

KABUL, May 3 (NNN-BNA) – At least five commuters were killed and seven others injured, in a traffic accident in eastern Afghanistan’s Wardak province, it was reported today.

Two vehicles collided in Wardak’s Saidabad district, along the highway linking the capital, Kabul with the southern Kandahar province, last night, the report said.

According to the report, the injured, including women and children, have been taken to the provincial hospital for treatment, some of them in critical condition.

Road accidents due to reckless driving on congested roads and a lack of traffic signs on dilapidated highways are leading causes of death in the country.– NNN-BNA
