Tanzanian environment lures Swiss investors

DAR ES SALAAM, April 30 (NNN-DAILYNEWS) — Swiss investors have expressed satisfaction with the investment environment in Tanzania and have shown interest in supporting small enterprises with a clear vision and sustainable strategies to enhance business competitiveness both locally and internationally.

This was revealed in Dar es Salaam by Daniella Kwayu Mchumi, Program Officer at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania, during the conclusion of a visit by a group of Swiss investors to various companies in the country. The purpose of the visit was to observe operations firsthand and explore potential investment opportunities.

“Today, we took the investors through several companies we are either already investing in or that are seeking investment, to help them understand how small businesses start and how they can scale up. This will assist them in making informed investment decisions,” said Daniella.

Some of the companies visited expressed that the investors’ visit has boosted their morale and motivation to increase production, while also opening up opportunities for expanding into international markets.

Stadia Kipangula, Production Manager at Kazi Yetu, a tea packaging company, said the visit from the investors has inspired them to work more creatively and efficiently.

On his part, Joseph Manga, Director of the pharmaceutical company Dawa Mkononi, said the visit has provided them with new insights and confidence that Swiss investment will bring economic benefits to the country.

The companies visited by the Swiss delegation included Stanbic Biashara Incubator, Dawa Mkononi, and Kazi Yetu. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between Tanzania and Switzerland through investment in the small and medium enterprise sector. — NNN-DAILYNEWS
