KABUL, Apr 27 (NNN-BNA) – Three commuters lost their lives and another was injured, after their vehicle veered off the road and turned turtle in northern Afghanistan’s Baghlan province, the provincial police office said in a statement, today.
According to the statement, the mishap occurred late yesterday, after a passenger car turned turtle, due to reckless driving in the Sangsurakh region, Doshi district of the province, along the highway linking the capital Kabul with the northern provinces.
At least seven people died and around 11 others sustained injuries, in triple road accidents in eastern Wardak and northern Faryab and Badakhshan provinces, a couple of days ago.
Thousands of people lose their lives in road accidents in Afghanistan each year, due to reckless driving on congested roads, poor conditions of roads, lack of traffic signs on dilapidated highways, overloading and over-speeding.– NNN-BNA
