YANGON, Apr 27 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar attracted 690.19 million U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment (FDI), in the fiscal year 2024-25, according to figures released by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), yesterday.
From Apr 1, 2024, to Mar 31 this year, the Myanmar Investment Commission approved 60 foreign-invested enterprises, according to the DICA data.
During the period, the oil and gas sector attracted the most FDI with 357.04 million dollars, followed by the manufacturing sector with 182.683 million dollars, and the transport and communication sector with 87.715 million dollars.
Singapore, China and Thailand were the largest investors in Myanmar during the period, the DICA data showed.– NNN-MNA
