Oman Rescues Indian Boat, 10 Crew Members

MUSCAT, Oman, June 15 (NNN-ONA) – An Indian boat and 10 of its drowning crew members were rescued, 6.4 km off the Omani port city of Dhalkut, Oman said, Friday.

According to an official statement by the Omani Maritime Security Centre, the Omani Navy sent a ship to the Indian boat, which was subjected to a technical failure in the engines, after the centre received a distress call and informed the authorities concerned.

The Omani Air Force planes are still searching for a missing crew member.– NNN-ONA
