U.S.-Made Weapons Found In Southern Syrian Region

DAMASCUS, Syria, June 4 (NNN-SANA) – The Syrian army has uncovered various weaponry, including U.S.-made TOW missiles in the southern region.

The Syrian army showcased the discovered weapons in a security headquarters, in the capital Damascus, on Monday.

These weapons, which were found in Daraa and Quneitra provinces, included thousands of machine guns’ bullets made by Israel, as well as, several anti-tank missiles and mortar shells.

The army also found a drone that could be controlled via satellites and is able to carry explosives.

A military officer, at the security headquarters, said that, the presence of such high-quality weapons indicates the U.S. and Western support to the radical rebel groups.

“The presence of these qualitative and accurate weapons, including those linked with satellites in the hands of the terrorist groups, is a sign of the foreign support to these terrorist groups from foreign powers, on top of which is the United States of America,” he said.

The Syrian government forces have found several batches of hidden weapons, which were left by the rebels ahead of their defeat in several Syrian areas.– NNN-SANA
