Mongolia, Laos Sign Cooperation Documents

ULAN BATOR, Jun 12 (NNN-APA) – Mongolia and Laos signed several cooperation agreements, according to the Mongolian presidential office’s website, last night.

These documents, including a memorandum to strengthen bilateral cooperation, in the health and medicine sector, a protocol on hygiene requirements for the export of goods, derived from livestock, and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in civil service reform, were signed in the Mongolian capital, Ulan Bator, in the presence of Mongolian President, Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, and his visiting Lao counterpart, Thongloun Sisoulith.

Thongloun arrived in Ulan Bator yesterday, for a two-day state visit, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation.

The visit marks the first by a Lao president to Mongolia in 17 years, and serves as a return visit, following President Khurelsukh’s state visit to Laos last year.– NNN-APA
