Australia Commits Additional Humanitarian Assistance For Gaza

CANBERRA, Jun 12 (NNN-AAP) – The Australian government has committed additional funding for humanitarian aid in Gaza.

The federal government, today, announced an extra 10 million Australian dollars (6.6 million U.S. dollars) to help the World Food Programme address urgent needs in Gaza, amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Foreign Affairs Minister, Penny Wong, International Development Minister, Pat Conroy and Youth Minister, Anne Aly, who is representing Australia at an international conference on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, said in a statement that, the funds would provide life-saving food assistance.– NNN-AAP
