Myanmar Aims To Earn Over 800 Million USD From Fishery Exports In FY 2024-25

YANGON, May 10 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar has set a target of earning over 800 million U.S. dollars, from the export of fishery products in the 2024-25 fiscal year, an official from the Department of Fisheries, said today.

While this year’s export volume is expected to be the same as last year’s, there will be a slight increase in export earnings, she said.

In the previous fiscal year 2023-24, Myanmar earned over 700 million dollars from exporting over 500,000 tonnes of fishery products, she added.

Myanmar’s fishery exports reach more than 40 nations, including China and Saudi Arabia, the official said.

The country has more than 140 cold storage facilities, for keeping fishery products fresh, the official added.– NNN-MNA
