Tehran, Iran, May 24 – People ride a boat on a submerged road in Ardabil. At least 24 people have been killed in a wave of torrential rainfall and flooding that has pounded Iran for the past two weeks, local officials say. According to Mojtaba Khaledi, a spokesman for Iran’s emergency services, four people were killed by flooding while another 20 lost their lives after having been struck by lightning. Beijing, China, May 24 – China’s first high-speed maglev train testing prototype in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong Province,on May 23, 2019. China on Thursday rolled off the production line a prototype magnetic-levitation train with a designed top speed of 600 km per hour in the eastern city of Qingdao. The debut of China’s first high-speed maglev train testing prototype marks a major breakthrough for the country in the high-speed maglev transit system.
