Pakistan Earns Over 12 Billion USD From Textile Exports In First Nine Months Of FY 2023-24

ISLAMABAD, Apr 19 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan earned 12.444 billion U.S. dollars, through textile products exports, in the first nine months of the current fiscal year, starting from Jul, 2023 to Jun, 2024, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said, yesterday.

The exports of textile products, however, witnessed a nominal decline of 0.26 percent, during Jul-Mar of the current fiscal year, as against the exports of 12.476 billion dollars during Jul-Mar of the last fiscal year 2022-23, said the PBS.

On a year-on-year basis, textile exports increased by 3.29 percent, going up from 1,257.799 million dollars in Mar, 2023, to 1,299.173 million dollars in Mar, this year.

On a month-on-month basis, the textile exports decreased by 7.67 percent, when compared to the exports of 1,407.105 million dollars in Feb, this year.

The textile commodities that witnessed positive trade growth included raw cotton, cotton yarn, bedwear, towels and other made-up articles.– NNN-APP
