17 Injured In S. Korea’s Multi-Vehicle Pileup

SEOUL, Mac 29 (NNN-YONHAP) – Seventeen people were injured this morning, after a multi-vehicle pileup in South Korea.

A concrete mixer truck crashed into a one-tonne truck from behind, in north-eastern Seoul, around 9:21 a.m. local time (0021 GMT), leading to a 13-vehicle pileup, including a motorcycle.

A total of 17 people were wounded, and five were taken to nearby hospitals.

The driver of the one-tonne truck was hospitalised in cardiac arrest, and another driver was seriously injured.

The police reportedly believed that the mixer truck driver, failed to brake on a downhill road and would investigate the exact cause of the accident.– NNN-YONHAP
