Argentine Transport Workers to Join General Strike

BUENOS AIRES, May 24 (NNN-Prensa Latina) Neither subway, trains nor buses, the Argentine transport workers will make a total stop on May 25 and will join another strike, four days later, the latter arranged by the CGT labor center.

According to the Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers (CATT), next Saturday, in the middle of a national holiday, the employees of the sector will paralyze work, as they did on May 1, demanding the income tax that was eliminated for the holidays worked.

The strike will be total on May 25: there will be no transport, except taxis, and includes workers in the area of signaling trains and subways, so no means of transport can circulate.

Likewise, that union announced that it will support the strike of coming May 29 by the General Confederation of Workers (CGT), which advanced a measure of force in rejection to the economic adjustment imposed by the Government.

Every time the strike or protests reach the transport sector it is almost impossible to move from the capital to the outskirts of Buenos Aires and although on Saturday little movement is expected, next Wednesday it is foreseen very complex for those who have to work.
