KABUL, Mac 26 (NNN-ANA) – Police have detained one drug smuggler and seized illegal drugs in east Afghanistan’s Laghman province, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said, yesterday.
The suspect was attempting to take 120 kg of hashish from Laghman to an unknown area.
In the meantime, police have apprehended five drug smugglers and discovered 95 kg of illegal drugs, in the southern Nimroz province, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported, yesterday.
The Afghan caretaker government has vowed to fight illicit drugs, drug production and trafficking across the country.– NNN-ANA
