Two Killed, Seven Injured In Stampede Following Landslide In Himachal Pradesh

NEW DELHI, Mac 26 (NNN-PTI) – At least two devotees were killed and seven others injured, yesterday, in a stampede that broke out, following a landslide in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, officials said.

The stampede occurred at a Hindu shrine, in Mairi village of Una district, about 198 km north-west of Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh.

According to the police, the devotees were taking their ritual bath in the spring, in close vicinity of the shrine, when a landslide occurred on a nearby mountain.– NNN-PTI
