Cuba destination aroused interest at tourism fair in Prague

PRAGUE, March 19 (NNN-ACN) — Professionals from the so-called smokeless industry and Czech citizens attending the 32nd International Tourism Fair in Prague showed interest in the various attractions that Cuba tourist destination offers.

Known as Holiday World & Region World, the three-day event featured the island’s Cuba Única campaign, which highlights the uniqueness of a Caribbean destination that combines tradition, modernity and natural beauty with history, culture and the hospitality of its people.

Tour operators and travel agencies learned about World Heritage sites in Cuba, including the historic sections of the cities of Havana and Cienfuegos, the Viñales Valley and Trinidad’s Sugar Mill Valley, as well as about the world-famous Varadero beach and the city of Santiago de Cuba.

The Cuba stand at the fair was inaugurated by the ambassador to the Czech Republic, Saylín Martínez, who was accompanied by Osnier Fonseca, Cuba’s tourism advisor for Eastern Europe, and representatives of hotel chains operating in the island. — NNN-ACN
