Over 20,000 Syrian Refugees Return From Jordan Since Oct, 2018

DAMASCUS, Syria, May 23 (NNN-SANA) – More than 20,000 Syrian refugees have returned from Jordan since Oct, 2018.

The return of refugees started, when the Nasib border crossing between the two countries was re-opened in Oct, 2018.

Earlier in the day, another batch of refugees returned to Syria from the Zarqa camp in Jordan.

The report pointed to the efforts the Syrian government is exerting, to secure the return of refugees and displaced people, after the army captured large swathes of territories from the rebels.

Mazen Ghandour, head of the Immigration Centre in Nasib, said, Syria is ready to secure buses and cars to transport refugees, as well as, on-spot medical treatment and checkup.

It is estimated that Jordan is hosting 1.4 million Syrian refugees.– NNN-SANA
