Small plane crash in Malaysia, two people onboard confirmed dead

KAPAR (Malaysia), Feb 14 (NNN-Bernama) — A light aircraft crashed in Malaysia’s state of Selangor on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of the pilot and co-pilot onboard.

Selangor Police chief Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the BK 160 Gabriel light plane crashed at 1.45 pm.

He said that according to the registered flight manifest, the victims were identified as pilot Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, 30, and co-pilot Roshaan Singh Raina, 42.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department informed that the two victims onboard the light plane were found in the cockpit at a depth of five feet in the ground.

Its director, Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said the first victim was extricated at 7.06 pm Tuesday and the second was removed 11 minutes later.

The victims were believed to be carrying out a recreational flight before the incident occurred.
