Cuba attends important travel fair in India

HAVANA, Feb 12 (NNN-ACN) — With the aim of presenting the Cuba Única campaign and meeting with tour operators from the Asian market, Cuba is participating for the first time in the OTM travel fair in India, which gathers 1,600 exhibitors from 60 countries.

The Caribbean country will seek to establish alliances with tour operators, advertising companies and airlines to market Cuba as a destination, as well as to encourage investment by Indian companies, based on the good results of the MGM Muthu group currently operating several hotels in the island and to learn about the local market in order to develop services tailored to Indian tourists.

According to Elizabeth Cristina Vela, Cuban advisor on Asian tourism, the number of outbound trips from India will be 29 million in 2025, the reason that it has become one of the fastest growing markets in the world. — NNN-ACN
