MOA and MOU Exchange on Carbon Neutral R&D Center and Smart Renewable Energy Efforts Projected to Draw RM 14 Billion Investment, by Guoann Dot Com Berhad and Involve Parties from Both Malaysia and China

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 31 (Bernama) — Malaysia and China made a significant stride towards carbon neutrality by signing a series of key international and local Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU). This historic event took place at the senate room, UM Chancellery Building of Universiti Malaya, involving various prestigious institutions such as Universiti Malaya, Architectural Design & Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co., Ltd., China Smart Energy Industry Alliance, China Power International Development Ltd., and Guoann Dot Com Berhad.

These agreements mark a historic collaboration between Malaysia and China in the realms of clean energy and carbon neutrality, celebrating the dual mission of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations and the shared development of the Belt and Road Initiative. Architectural Design & Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co., Ltd., a leader in China’s urban planning and architectural design sector, will join forces with Universiti Malaya to foster research and development in carbon neutrality and renewable energy, injecting fresh, green momentum into the Belt and Road Initiative.
