KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 (Bernama) — The UMW Group recorded strong automotive sales for November 2023 with the registration of 42,315 vehicles, 8% higher than the 39,034 units delivered in November 2022, as both UMW Toyota Motor (“UMWT”) and UMW’s associate company, Perodua continue to deliver their outstanding orders. Accordingly, the Group’s automotive sales increased by 16% to 396,820 units for the first eleven months of 2023, from the 341,390 units registered in the same period of 2022.
UMWT registered delivery of 10,263 units in November 2023, close to the 10,442 units delivered in November 2022. Year-to-date November 2023, UMWT registered 97,705 units, recording an 8% growth compared with the 90,595 units registered in the corresponding period of 2022. To further strengthen its order book, UMWT is offering special promotions for the purchase of selected Toyota models through its “Drive into the New Year with Toyota” campaign for December.
