KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait, May 14 (NNN-KUNA) – Kuwait on Monday, strongly condemned sabotage that targeted commercial ships near the United Arab Emirates’ (UAEs’) territorial waters, late Sunday.
It is a criminal act, which jeopardised region’s safety, maritime traffic and the overall world trade and energy supply, an official from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement.
Such act must be internationally handled in a swift manner, in order to limit its re-occurrence, the ministry statement added.
Kuwait reaffirms its supportive stance with the UAE, to secure its stability and maintain its sovereignty, it noted.
Four commercial vessels of various nationalities, on Sunday morning, suffered acts of sabotage, off the UAE’s eastern coast, its foreign ministry said, Sunday.– NNN-KUNA
