Huawei Malaysia Commits To Building Sustainable Ultra-Broadband Industry

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 (NNN-THE EDGE) – Huawei Malaysia has committed to narrowing the digital divide between the urban and rural areas and stimulating digital innovation in Malaysia, while building a sustainable ultra-broadband industry ecosystem to ensure no one is left behind from the benefits of digital development.

Huawei Malaysia vice-president of carrier business, Zac Chow, said, the information and communications technology provider continuously innovates and uses green information, communication and technology (ICT) to empower development and contribute towards a better green and intelligent world.

“Carbon neutrality goals have become a global consensus, but on the other end of the spectrum, we are talking about more power generation to meet digital transformation objectives,” he said during the Malaysia Ultra-broadband Summit 2023, held in conjunction with Malaysia ICT Summit 2023 here yesterday.

Hence, Chow said, Huawei aims to bring digital to everyone — homes and organisations — for a fully connected, intelligent Malaysia, in a sustainable way.

“As a leading ICT solutions provider, we are fully committed to playing our part in building the industry infrastructure and ecosystem towards ensuring Malaysia’s position as the Asean digital capital,” he said.

The two-day Malaysia ICT Summit 2023, themed “Digital Malaysia, Green Growth”, aims to promote ICT innovation and infrastructure development, while bringing more opportunities for Malaysia’s sustainable digital economy growth and industrial upgrading.

More than 300 industry professionals, enterprise leaders and ecosystem partners from various segments within the ICT industry attended the summit, organised by Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd.– NNN-THE EDGE
