800,000 Stimulant Tablets Seized In Myanmar

YANGON, Aug 30 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar authorities seized 800,000 stimulant tablets, in Myanmar’s eastern Shan State, a statement from the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) said, yesterday.

Acting on a tipoff, anti-narcotics police searched a vehicle in Loilem town, in Shan State on Saturday and confiscated the 800,000 stimulant tablets, the CCDAC said.

Five suspects were arrested for the case, it added.

The suspects were charged with drug trafficking under the country’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations were underway.– NNN-MNA
