JAKARTA, Aug 4 (NNN-Bernama) — ASEAN will host the fourth annual ASEAN Online Sale Day (AOSD), the largest online shopping event in Southeast Asia, from August 8 to 22, 2023.
According to the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC), the two-week event will bring together the best of ASEAN goods and services from across the region on a single e-commerce platform.
In 2020, over 200 e-commerce businesses in the region took part in AOSD and offered a large range of goods and services at promotional or discounted rates through their e-commerce platforms.
Over 300 businesses participated annually as the event grew in 2021 and 2022.
“This year, the organisers expect strong interest among businesses and consumers given the rise in e-commerce adoption in the region spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic,” ASEC noted in a statement.
