Six Soldiers, Three Terrorists Killed In Clash In NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, May 5 (NNN-APP) – Six soldiers and three terrorists were killed, during an intense exchange of fire, in Pakistan’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Pakistan army said, yesterday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan army, said, a fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists, in the Dirduni area of North Waziristan, a district bordering Afghanistan.

The troops killed three terrorists on the spot, while injuring two others, the ISPR said in a statement, adding that, six soldiers also lost their lives during the intense exchange of fire.

Sanitisation of the area is being carried out, to eliminate any other terrorists in the area, said the statement.– NNN-APP
