
Port-au-Prince, Apr 18 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — The Special Representative for Haiti and Head of the UN Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) Maria Isabel Salvador met with Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry to debate on the country´s present situation.
Isabel Salvador stressed she will engage with all the nation’s forces to support domestic stability ravaged by armed groups and socio-political crisis.
The new BINUH chief arrived amid a critical time for Haiti, in which the socio-political crisis continues.
BINUH, which replaced the UN mission for Justice and Stability, is currently working to support national institutions to promote the rule of law, encourage dialogue between different forces in the country and protect human rights. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
