Myanmar Extends COVID-19 Restrictions Until End Of This Month

YANGON, Apr 1 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar announced the extension of COVID-19 preventive measures until end of this month (Apr 30), according to the Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19.

The extension applies to all COVID-19 restrictions that expired on Mar 31 (yesterday), except for those that will be eased, the committee said.

It added that, the extension covers all orders, announcements, and directives previously issued by respective government organisations and ministries, in order to contain the pandemic.

As of yesterday, the country has recorded a total of 634,080 COVID-19 infections, including 19,490 deaths and 614,554 recoveries, official data showed.– NNN-MNA
