Pakistan Foreign Minister to attend Bali meeting on Afghan women’s education

NEW DELHI, Dec 7 (NNN-Bernama) — Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will attend the Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) and the International Conference on Afghan Women’s Education on Thursday in Indonesia.

The two conferences are taking place on the island of Bali, Indonesia.

The meeting to promote Afghan women’s education is co-hosted by the governments of Indonesia and Qatar.

Bilawal will be having a bilateral meeting with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

During the three-day Southeast Asia trip starting on Wednesday, the Pakistani minister will also travel to Singapore, where he will discuss bilateral relations with his counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan and call on President Halimah Yacob.

The visit is a “reflection of the high priority that Pakistan accords to its relations with ASEAN countries, and its commitment to further strengthen relations with Indonesia and Singapore in all areas of mutual interest,” the foreign ministry said.
