Malaysia Reported 4,503 New COVID-19 Infections, 10 New Deaths

KUALA LUMPUR, Jul 28 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia reported 4,503 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight, bringing the national total to 4,664,213, according to the health ministry.

There are six new imported cases, with 4,497 cases being local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

Another 10 deaths have been reported, pushing the death toll to 35,942.

The ministry reported 3,847 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 4,581,365.

There are 46,906 active cases, with 59 being held in intensive care and 30 of those in need of assisted breathing.

The country reported 14,337 vaccine doses administered yesterday and 85.9 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 84 percent are fully vaccinated, 49.5 percent have received the first booster and one percent have received the second booster.– NNN-BERNAMA
