KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 (Bernama) — The National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), Ministry of Health Malaysia has issued a directive to recall a registered product Kin Foong San (Medicinal Powder) 4gm (MAL19972851T) for batch number VG05035. This is following analysis of product sampled from the market showed that it contained more than allowable limits of heavy metals mercury and cadmium.
Subsequently, the company has decided to voluntarily recall other batches in the market for further investigation. The batches involved are VG05036, VG05037, VG05038, VG05039, VG05040 and VG05041.
