Malaysia Reported 2,773 New COVID-19 Infections, Six New Deaths

KUALA LUMPUR, Jul 2 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia reported 2,773 new COVID-19 infections, as of midnight, bringing the national total to 4,568,828, according to the health ministry.

There are four new imported cases, with 2,769 cases being local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

Six new deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 35,771.

The ministry reported 1,984 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 4,502,840.

There are 30,217 active cases, with 47 being held in intensive care and 28 of those in need of assisted breathing.

The country reported 6,840 vaccine doses administered yesterday, while 85.8 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 83.5 percent are fully vaccinated and 49.4 percent have received boosters.– NNN-BERNAMA
