Fifth Global Film Tourism Conclave Began In Mumbai

MUMBAI, Jul 2 (NNN-PTI) – The fifth Global Film Tourism Conclave was inaugurated yesterday, in India’s financial capital, Mumbai, with the theme “Unleashing the Power of Cinematic Tourism.”

The conclave has been organised with the objective of providing a unique platform for Film Commissions, Tourism Boards and Production Houses, to promote their locations, incentives and services to the vibrant Indian film industry.

Representatives from several tourism boards from Norway, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Türkiye presented their incentive schemes for film shootings in their destinations.

Pointing out the significance of film contribution to economies across the world, India’s Union Minister, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, who inaugurated the conclave said, “Box office collection of Hollywood movies is around 595 billion U.S. dollars. The worldwide earnings of the British film industry are about 41.9 billion U.S. dollars. Earnings of the Chinese film industry are around 32 billion U.S. dollars.”

“Worldwide box office earnings of the Indian film industry is around 6.1 billion U.S. dollars,” the minister said.– NNN-PTI
