At Least 62 Killed In Floods Across Iran

TEHRAN, Iran, April 4 (NNN-IRNA) – Recent floods across Iran have claimed the lives of at least 62 and injured 478 others, Iranian Legal Medicine Organisation (ILMO) said, Wednesday.

The provinces of Fars and Lorestan suffer high fatalities, with 21 and 14 deaths respectively, said Mehrdad Ali Bakhshi, deputy Crisis Management of ILMO.

Hundreds of people have also been relocated as downpours and floods surrounded villages and cities.

Dozens of villages have disappeared under the mud and sludge in the west of Iran.– NNN-IRNA
