India Appointed New UN Permanent Representative

NEW DELHI, Jun 22 (NNN-PTI) – India appointed Ruchira Kamboj, as its next Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, an official announcement said yesterday.

Kamboj, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 1987 batch, is presently the country’s ambassador to Bhutan.

She is expected to take up the assignment shortly, succeeding the incumbent, T.S. Tirumurti.– NNN-PTI
